The Maestro Process
From First Handshake
to Final Stitch
Every commission follows the same path. Nine master tailors, one standard of care, no shortcuts. This is how we build.
Stage 1
Discovery Consultation
No pressure, no pitch. We sit down and listen. You tell us about your life — how you dress, where you wear suits, what's never fit right. We ask questions. We look at how you carry yourself. By the end, we know what you need, what you don't, and which path makes sense. Most clients have never had this conversation before.
60 minutes · In-person or Virtual
Stage 2
33-Point Measurement
We take 33 measurements — not just chest and waist, but posture, shoulder slope, arm pitch, seat shape, and the details that every off-the-rack suit ignores. These numbers are stored permanently in your client record. Every future garment starts from this foundation.
20 minutes · In-person required
Stage 3
Fabric Selection
You handle the cloth. You see it in light. We guide you toward the fabric that matches your lifestyle, your body, and your intentions for the garment. Bespoke and MTM clients access our full library — Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Saviero, Artextile. MTO clients select from a curated collection of our most versatile cloths.
As long as you need
Stage 4
Pattern Creation
For bespoke commissions, we drape quality 120s wool directly on your body — pinning, marking, adjusting in real time. That fabric is then taken apart. The pieces become your master pattern: a blueprint that exists for no one else on earth. It is stored permanently and refined with every suit we build for you.
Completed before first fitting
Stage 5
Construction Begins
Nine tailors, each with decades of experience, begin cutting and building. Full floating canvas for Bespoke and MTM. Hand-padded chest piece. Pick stitching along the lapels. Hand-set sleeves. Every seam pressed at every stage. This is where the hours go — hours you will feel the first time you put it on.
3–8 weeks depending on tier
Stage 6
Basted Fitting
Your first fitting is in basted form — the garment is held together with loose stitching so we can adjust everything before a single seam is finished. We check the shoulder line, the chest, the drape from the back, the break at the trouser. Everything is on the table. Nothing is locked.
45 minutes
Stage 7
Refinement
Every note from the fitting goes back to the bench. Seams are let out or taken in. The canvas is adjusted. The collar is reset. For bespoke clients, a second or third fitting may follow. For MTM and MTO, refinements are completed before the final pressing.
1–3 weeks
Stage 8
Final Fitting
The finished garment, fully pressed, on your body. We check every line, every button, every detail against the original brief. Minor tweaks are made same-day. We don't hand over a suit until it's right.
30 minutes
Stage 9
Delivery + Garment Passport
Your suit arrives in an L&S garment bag. We walk you through care, storage, and when to press. Every commission receives a Garment Passport — a digital certificate documenting the fabric, construction details, tailor, and fitting history. It's yours. The pattern stays with us, ready for your next commission.
