The commission

Not a fitting room.
A workshop.

From the first conversation to the last chalk mark — how a garment is actually built at 138 East 61st Street.

Consultation in the atelier
01

Consultation — sixty minutes, no pitch.

We listen for how you live, what the room is, and whether this is a first suit or the twentieth. Then we name the path: Made-to-Measure or Bespoke.

Wedding parties map rehearsal, ceremony, fathers, and line in the same hour.

Cloth bolts on the table
02

Cloth you can hold.

Bolts on the table. Weight for a June rooftop or a December room. Undertones that sit next to the people you stand with. We will not name a mill we cannot put in your hands.

The party can share a mill family without wearing the same jacket.

Hands building a garment
03

Build — nine hands in Manhattan.

Full canvas on Made-to-Measure and Bespoke. Structure shaped on the body. Bespoke takes three to four fittings; MTM one. The calendar is real.

First bespoke: 8–12 weeks. MTM: 4–6. Pattern after stays here.

Fitting room at L&S
04

Fitting — finished where you stand.

Shoulder, neck, trouser break, balance. The garment learns your posture. When it leaves, the pattern remains.

That is the house advantage. Not a slogan. A drawer.

Construction

Full canvas. Not fused theater.

Structure that breathes and molds — still photographs clean at the last dance.
